What are microgreens? Why should you use them?
Microgreens are tiny versions of mature plants typically harvested after their cotyledons or first true leaves appear. They are typically grown indoors using sustainable and eco- conscious farming techniques allowing them to be produced consistently and year-round while minimizing the risks of pests and diseases. These tiny but mighty greens support the future of agriculture, local farming, and a greener, healthier future for the world around us.
These may be small, but the pack a powerhouse of nutrition, typically 3 to 40 times more nutrition than its mature form has. Due to being harvested as a seedling they still contain much of the stored energy and nutrients from the seed. At this stage plants are rapidly growing so they’re packed with vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants in a concentrated form. They are also vibrantly colored and full of flavor, allowing them to be extremely versatile across the food industry. Each variety has benefits including cancer prevention, chronic illness prevention, immune support and promotes an overall healthy and vital lifestyle.
Think of getting all your vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients by eating a small portion of the daily amount suggested for greens. Less is more with microgreens, and the benefits far outweigh their mature forms.

Ordering your microgreens with Roots and Shoots
How to place an order:
Our microgreens and edible flowers are priced by weight (4oz) and/or bloom count.
You will receive an invoice via email or text upon placing your order. Payment is due when the order has been delivered unless arranged otherwise. Upon receiving an invoice payments can be made via the invoice using the pay button or ACH, Zelle, or Cash, for credit cards there is a 3% fee.
Our delivery days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We deliver within Broward County and Palm Beach County, within 25 miles there is no fee for orders meeting minimum requirements of $50.
There is a delivery fee of $10.00 for orders less than $50 unless arranged otherwise. There is a delivery fee for over 25 miles determined upon distance.
We deliver your order upon harvest time, our grown to order model helps ensure the best quality and shelf life for your product.
For subscriptions and reoccurring orders: Once your first order is placed, allow 7 to 14 days to receive your order. This follows our grow to order model. After receiving your first order you will receive your greens and or flowers on a consistent weekly schedule unless arrange otherwise.
To modify your order please contact us 7 days prior to allow us the time to adjust your orders to perfection.
We grow our microgreens fresh to order. To protect the quality of our product and our time, we kindly ask that you notify us of any order cancellations at least 72 hours in advance.
Orders canceled within 72 hours of delivery will incur a 50% charge of the total order amount.
Same-day cancellations or no-shows are charged 100% of the order total.
If there are any issues with your order please contact us within 24 hours so we can make it right. We stand by providing the best quality greens every time.
We're happy to provide a quote based on your desired quantity and selection. Custom mixes, reoccurring orders, and bulk orders are available upon request.

Handled with care
We take care to ensure that every batch of microgreens and edible flowers leaves our farm fresh, vibrant, and at peak quality. Once the product is delivered/picked up, it becomes the responsibility of the customer to properly store and handle the greens. A care card will be included in your order with instructions on proper storage and handling. From planting to packaging to delivery, we handle every step with precision and pride, so you receive nothing but the best.
